Emmy Awards Hosted By Stephen Colbert

The 2017 Emmy Awards are scheduled for September 17, 2017, and this year’s host will be Stephen Colbert. A few of the presenters include Jason Bateman, Jessica Biel, Edie Falco, Rashida Jones, Nicole Kidman, and Debra Messing.

Within the first round of presenters, television personalities like Adam Scott and Reese Witherspoon will also present. Some of the biggest stars include Oprah Winfrey, Alec Baldwin, and Jim Parsons, who will hand out trophies.

The big event will also premiere on CBS.

The official press release reads:

“The 69th Primetime Emmy® Awards will be broadcast LIVE from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, Sept. 17 (8:00-11:00 PM, live ET/5:00-8:00 PM live PT) on the CBS Television Network.”

“Emmy® Award winner Stephen Colbert, the multi-talented host of THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT, will host The 69th Primetime Emmy Awards, marking his first time as master of ceremonies for the event.”

Major Nominations For TBBT Cast

The cast of The Big Bang Theory will likely take a break for Jim Parsons to present at the ceremonies. For Emmy and other award ceremonies, Jim Parsons has been nominated fifty-four times, with fifteen total wins.

Coming in second place, Kaley Cuoco has been nominated for twenty awards at various shows and won five of those. Every major actor on The Big Bang Theory has been nominated for an award, but so far Johnny Galecki, Kunal Nayyar, and Melissa Rauch have never won an award.

In total, The Big Bang Theory has been nominated for forty-six Primetime Emmy Awards. Jim Parsons has been nominated more than any of the other actors and he’s also won an Emmy for his role as Sheldon Cooper.
