Ready For An Easter Egg Hunt?

The Walking Dead | Photo Credit AMC The Walking Dead is known for Easter Eggs, hidden clues, and wild fan theories. In this season of community-wide obsession, which has led to some fans leaving, several clues may have been missed.

That said, the following provides a list of the Easter Eggs or hidden clues that can be found in the midseason finale.

Dwight’s Room (Chess Piece)

Inside Dwight’s room, there are several symbolic items that show how Daryl and Dwight are very similar. Dwight has been wearing Daryl’s vest and also took his motorcycle. Then, Daryl dressed in Dwight’s grunge-like clothes, ate his peanut butter, and flipped over a chessboard. Daryl recognized it was Dwight’s room because of the chess piece. Dwight was absent, is he the one spying on Rick and Aaron?

Richard’s Secret Weapon (Milk Bottle)

When Richard came to speak with Carol and Morgan, he was carrying empty glass bottles with him. It’s possible these are used as a weapon. In the comics, Richard uses Molotov cocktails when the war starts with the saviors. This also resembles the beginning of 28 Days Later.

Maggie’s Rise to Power (Apple)

There are several hidden clues from Robert Kirkman’s The Walking Dead this season. This means that Maggie will soon take over Hilltop, which she slightly revealed in a scene with Gregory where an apple stood in as a metaphor.

Rick’s Rise to Power (Gun)

The theme for the return of The Walking Dead is Rise Up. In the midseason finale, Rick reunited with Maggie and the gang at Hilltop. He hugged Daryl and he finally got his gun back. Rick’s empty holster has been very symbolic of Negan’s power over him this season.
