So, I found out something else I didn’t know about the Big Bang Theory. Earlier this year, the show got its own street in California, Big Bang Theory Alley. Where in California, you ask? Why, Pasadena, of course! The show takes place there, so what would be more fitting.

A pretty big accomplishment. I mean, how many television programs can say they have their own street? Somebody should look into finding out if there are more television shows that were awarded the honor. There must be more right?

Big Bang Theory Alley

After the 200th episode of the Big Bang Theory aired, February 25 was declared “The Big Bang Theory Day” in Pasadena, California. Soon after, the show was awarded the honorary street name. The city named an alley after the show, calling it the “Big Bang Theory Alley.”

“The City of Pasadena is proud of its comedic and scientific association with The Big Bang Theory,” Pasadena Council member Andy Wilson said in a press release. “Pasadena was already known throughout the world for having the foremost astronomers, chemists and scientific thinkers who do very serious work here, but thanks to The Big Bang Theory, being smart in Pasadena is now fun too. “

Another interesting thing that happened during the street awarding, was Johnny Galecki and Mayim Bialik going down memory lane. For those of you who don’t know, Johnny Galecki and Mayim Bialik actually shared an on-screen kiss during Blossom’s run in the 90s.

The actors were just 14 when they shared their first on-screen smooch. “It might have been my first real-life kiss also,” Bialik admitted (http://www.cbsnews.com/news/mayim-bialik-and-johnny-galecki-recreate-blossom-kiss/).

The episode was back in the first season. The sixth one to be exact. It was called “Sex, Lies, and Teenagers.” Blossom sneaks out of her house to go to a make-out party and ends up locking lips with Johnny Galecki’s character, Jason. I’m pretty sure Johnny was only in the one episode. He should have been in more! Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Conclusion

The street sign is pretty awesome. But, I think the Blossom reminiscing was my favorite part. I’m sure my readers saw that coming. You guys know I’m a big Blossom fan.

For those of my readers who have seen the show, did you remember the make-out party episode? Did this bring back childhood memories? What did you think of the episode?
Mayim Bialik is so cool. She gets to say that Johnny Galecki was her first kiss. Which is very nice for a first kiss. I’m sorry, my Johnny Galecki crush is showing. I’m having Roseanne flashbacks. David was so cute!

On more about the street, I’ve never been to California, but my dad did go for a wedding. I wonder if he went down Big Bang Theory Alley. Have any of you? Let us know in the comments below.
