Uncle Si is quite possibly every Duck Dynasty fan’s favorite Robertson. He added so much fun, humor, and love to the series that we just couldn’t get enough of him. While Si’s brother Phil brought a serious tone to the show, Si never strayed away from his role as comic relief. Si was always excited for a new shenanigan and always had ample commentary at the ready.

Recently, Si Robertson admitted he didn’t expect Duck Dynasty to be as successful as it was. He said, “I don’t think any of us saw it coming,” Robertson tells Billboard. “Not in a million years.”

However, Si is thankful for the experience. He believes the show, and the success his family received because of it, has only brought them closer to God. He explained, “I tell people all the time that Duck Dynasty has done one thing for the entire Robertson family — it actually strengthened our faith in God almighty. Look what he had to work with, and look where he took it. I’m still blown away by the reception that the show got. It’s a lot to take in.”

God Has A Sense Of Humor

Si has previously stated that he believes God is a comedic man himself. He said, “God has got a great sense of humor, OK. Because, hey, look at Jase. God has taken four guys that look like about five miles of muddy road and made them famous in the TV world.” We can’t argue with him there. The family is certainly not your average group of reality TV stars.

Despite enjoying the success of the show, Si doesn’t necessarily love being famous. He told People magazine that both he and his wife, Christine, are homebodies. “Celebrity life is not all it’s cracked up to be!” he said. “If I had a choice to go somewhere or stay home, I’d stay home. I’m a homebody. Christine’s the same.”

Do you agree with Uncle Si? Does God have a sense of humor?
