Uncle Si really is the best Duck Dynasty cast member. He’s funny, entertaining, and has a heck of a heart. Now, Si is following his big musical dreams and we couldn’t be more inspired.
Uncle Si Is An Inspiration
Uncle Si is truly one of a kind. He’s an employee at Duck Commander, a beloved uncle and father, and a fantastic man of words. We love his hilarious comments and silly antics, and we fell in love with him episode after episode.
Recently, Si embarked on a new quest for success and we couldn’t be more inspired. This is a man who served in the Vietnam war, has worked his whole life, and has every reason to retire. He’s 69 years old, and he’s certainly got enough money to live off of forever. However, while many men in his position may decide they’ve done enough in life, Si is still setting goals and having adventures.
Si recently started the band “Si and the Sicotics” with his daughter in law Marsha, and a singer-songwriter named Bridgette. The threesome sing country, rap, and rock all rolled into one and seem to be having a blast. Si explained, “In 2016, my daughter in law were doing a charity event for veterans and first responders. That’s where we met Miss Bridgette Tatum. We got to joking around about possibly writing some songs and then recording them, go out and sing on the road – just have fun. That’s what we wound up doing.”
Dreams Are Ageless
At 69 years old, Si is touring the country and recording an album. That’s an incredible feat for a man who’s already done a heck of a lot with his life. Apparently, Si had no idea that Duck Dynasty would be so successful, and he’s now excited to see where music takes him. He said, “I don’t think any of us saw it coming. Not in a million years. I tell people all the time that Duck Dynasty has done one thing for the entire Robertson family. It actually strengthened our faith in God almighty. Look what he had to work with, and look where he took it. I’m still blown away by the reception that the show got. It’s a lot to take in.”
Uncle Si is a great reminder that it’s never too late to go for your dreams. If you were in his position would you still be working and performing?
