Sadie Robertson has a habit of speaking directly to fans through her Youtube Channel. It was no surprise when she decided to use this platform to explain her diet plan to her followers. Mary Kate Robertson joined her as they spoke about how they stay naturally thin.
Sadie Admits To An Obsession
Sadie admitted right away in the video that she and Mary Kate had become a little too invested in the way their bodies looked. The Duck Commander teen said, “Mary Kate and I have been obsessed with like getting healthy, getting fit, all that stuff. But we realized that it was kind of becoming this unhealthy obsession….we got lost in it.” The sister-in-laws recalled trying a juice cleanse, which they called a “terrible” experience. Sadie said, “we realized we kind of pushed ourselves a little bit too far on that.” Both girls are naturally thin, so it is surprising to fans to hear that they would go to such extremes for body image.
Sadie Robertson’s Diet Advice
Sadie went on to explain that while she strived to be healthy in body, she began to be unhealthy in mind. While the pair were completing their juice cleanse, Mary Kate’s friend recommended they read the book The Secret Of Your Naturally Skinny Friends by Monica Swanson. Both Sadie and Mary Kate found comfort in the words of the book. Swanson explains that the secret to being naturally thin is not obsessing over food. The obsession creates stress, which doesn’t help at all. Instead, girls should be kind to themselves, and not obsess over calories or body image.
So What Is Sadie’s Diet
Ultimately Sadie Robertson’s diet is less about the food she eats, and more the thoughts she thinks. Sadie explained that in her life there are many people commenting on her outward physical appearance at all times. The Duck Commander teen prefers to focus on her inner beauty. Mary Kate also added that “the Lord will help you through that.” Both sister-in-laws are trying to focus on positive thinking and positive body image. They believe the good thoughts will help them achieve their fitness goals.
