But what a lot of people don’t realize is that he has a life partner — his wife, Christine. And you better believe she’s way more important than Si’s unsweetened ice tea. They’ve been married for nearly 46 years, but she isn’t on the show and rarely makes public appearances.
For the first few seasons of Duck Dynasty, people wondered if Si was a loner or a widower. But later, Si cleared things up by explaining why his wife hasn’t appeared on the show.
“I always told people, ‘She’s got better sense than the rest of us,’ Si said. But that ain’t the real reason. Sometimes we film 12 hours a day, and she’s just not healthy enough to go through the rigors of that.”
But, Si says, Christine is perfectly fine with that. She’s not one for the spotlight…
