Duck Dynasty hasn’t been off the air for even a year yet. However, Phil Robertson is already planning his television comeback. The Robertson patriarch is set to hit small screens again this year on a paid-for streaming service.
Phil Robertson Back On TV
Phil Robertson will be back on television before we know it. The Duck Dynasty patriarch who rocked the boat with his conservative views and country lifestyle has decided to head back to the small screen.
Phil will have his own show on the Conservative Review TV network. The network is streamed online and costs $99 a month. The company is using Phil’s celebrity to boost subscription numbers. For a limited time, customers can use the code DUCKS to get 20 dollars off of their order.
Phil’s show will be titled In The Woods With Phil. The show will be more like the original Duck Commander series, following Phil in the backwoods of Louisiana. Fans will see Phil doing what he does best- being an outdoorsman.
Phil said of the series, “What does a man do when they try to run him out of town for quoting a Bible verse? I tell you what he does; he goes deep in the woods.” Phil is most likely referring to the controversy he faced after his GQ article released in 2014. The public tore him apart for seeming to equate gay sex with bestiality. Phil said, “For far too long we have been told to shut up. No more. Here’s the deal, America. These are my woods. Out here, I call the shots. Out here, we reject political correctness, or as I like to say, ‘pontificated crap.’”
A Family Affair
The show hasn’t advertised any of the other Robertson family members. However, if we know anything about the Robertsons, it’s that they like to stick together. We predict Uncle Si will pop up at some point in the series. Perhaps Martin and Godwin will help Phil with a few outdoor activities as well.
Time will tell whether Phil Robertson’s return to television will be successful. Will you be purchasing a subscription to CRTV?
