Alan Just Sent A HUGE Message To Duck Fans About The Robertson Family

Alan Robertson explained to The Christian Broadcast Network that the Robertson family doesn’t actually want you to follow them- they want you to follow Jesus. Here’s what he had to say about his motivation to preach and the family’s wish for their fans.

Alan Robertson had quite a bit to say while appearing on CBN. The “beardless brother” didn’t appear on Duck Dynasty until Season 4. However, he quickly grew into a fan favorite and is now helping his dad with a new CRTV show.

Alan also explained that his family was never motivated by personal fame. Each member of the Robertsons has millions of followers on Instagram and other social media networks. However, the family doesn’t want these “followers” to worship them, the way so many celebrities do. Alan said, “We say all the time, we don’t want them to follow us. We want them to look at our example and follow Christ.” The family hopes everything they do will point others towards Christianity.

Alan, in particular, is motivated by his own personal experiences. He was kicked out of the house as a teenager. He considers himself a “prodigal son,” and is thankful for the tough love. Phil Robertson wouldn’t allow him to continue a “rock and roll” lifestyle while living under his roof. Alan explained, “It was tough love. Now me being a parent, and a grandparent, I understand how hard that is. But he did the right thing.”

You Are Welcome Home

Alan believes all people should always be welcomed back to the church, no matter their past transgressions. He said, “What I tell young people is, look, no matter where you are, no matter what happens in your life, you can come back from it. You can follow Christ. His grace, his love and forgiveness, they’re so strong and encompassing. There’s no place that you can go that’s too far…No matter what happens always remember to come home to Christ.”

Do you follow the Robertsons on social media? Do you believe they use their platform responsibly?
