Devoted Duck Dynasty fans think they know everything there is to know about the show and the Robertsons. But did you know these 5 surprising facts about the family?
Jep and Jessica Robertson Met Through Their Hair Stylist
Jep and Jessica Robertson didn’t meet in grade school like Willie and Korie or in high school like Kay and Phil. No, they met through their mutual hair stylist at the salon one day. We guess Jep and Jessica both really care about their hair. The couple quickly hit it off. Jessica remembers, “One of the first things I noticed was how sweet he is and how kind he is to others… I saw so much kindness, gentleness and self-control, all these great characteristics that you want in someone.”
Phil Robertson Has Baptized Over 300 People
Phil Robertson has baptized over 300 people over the years. He had a tumultuous road to recovery and the Lord. However, once he saw the light he never looked back. Now he aims to share the good news everywhere he goes. He’s baptized salesman, family members, and friends throughout the past 30 years. He even baptized Jase.
Phil Robertson Played Football With Terry Bradshaw
Phil Robertson wasn’t just one of Terry Bradshaw’s college football teammates. He actually started ahead of the football great. However, Phil realized he had a passion for duck hunting, and left the team. That spot opened up for Terry and the rest is history. The two men have met later on in life, and both realize that there was a plan for both of them all along.
Jase Willie And Jep Have A Fourth Brother
These days Alan Robertson is very involved in the Robertson family business. But, at the start of the Duck Dynasty series the “beardless brother” was nowhere to be found. It wasn’t until Phil and Kay’s vow renewal that we even realized they had a fourth child. Alan is the oldest of the boys and has spent most of his life preaching.
Willie Robertson Loves Cars
Willie Robertson loves collecting cars and trucks. His most famous is a 2007 BMW, painted with camouflage all over it. It’s featured in the opening sequence of the series. He also owns a souped-up F-150 with flames on the sides.
