For most families, a trip to Disneyland in California or Walt Disney World in Florida is a special event.

If they’re lucky, they’ll make the trip once a year. Some families spend years saving for a Disney vacation, though. So if you can’t make it to the theme park, the next best option is Disney on Ice.

Disney on Ice is an ice-skating spectacular that’s been touring since beginning in 1981. The show features tons of great Disney characters and music. The best part, though, is that it’s a touring show. So there’s no need to travel and pay for airfare, hotels, and other expensive vacation amenities. More than likely, no matter where you live in the country, a Disney on Ice show is sure to play near you at some point during the year.

Multiple Disney on Ice Shows in Multiple Cities

There are multiple versions of the show on tour this year, with themes such as Worlds of Enchantment, Dare to Dream, Follow Your Heart, Passport to Adventure, and more.

Worlds of Enchantment features Ariel and the cast of The Little Mermaid, the Toy Story gang, and of course, Anna, Elsa, and Olaf from the smash hit Frozen. If ever there was a Disney movie custom-made to be adapted into an ice-skating show, it’s Frozen.

Here’s the official description of Worlds of Enchantment, plus a sneak peek YouTube video:

“Enter the dazzling world of Disney magic LIVE ON ICE! Rev up for non-stop fun with four of your favorite Disney stories at Disney On Ice presents Worlds of Enchantment. Thrill to high-speed stunts as Lightning McQueen and the crew of Disney•Pixar’s Carsrace across the ice! Dive into adventure with Ariel and The Little Mermaid’s undersea kingdom. The toys are back in town with heroic action when Buzz, Woody, Jessie and the Disney•Pixar Toy Story gang escape Sunnyside Daycare in their most daring adventure!

Plus, enter the wintery world of Arendelle with sisters Anna and Elsa and pals Olaf and Kristoff from Disney’s Frozen as they learn that true love comes from within. Get warmed up for the show and be your best with exclusive moves taught by the mouse that started it all at Mickey’s Dance-Along Pre-Show. From wheels to waves, icy wonderlands to infinity and beyond, your family’s favorite Disney moments come to life at Disney On Ice presents Worlds of Enchantment.”
