Gregory Calls Rick Grimes “Ricky” Because…

On Talking Dead, Walking Dead Director Greg Nicotero said Xander Berkeley, who plays Gregory, would deliver a different name every time to throw off actor Andrew Lincoln. The final version included “Ricky” but he also said “Richie” and a few other names. Nicotero also said this was done because Gregory doesn’t care about Rick and Maggie. He considers them like flies he needs to swat around his head.
