Johnny Galecki’s home has been claimed as a victim of a tragic fire in California last week. The Big Bang Theory actor took to social media to thank the brave firefighters involved in the incident.

Last Saturday night Johnny Galecki’s home was taken down by a wild fire. The actor wasn’t home, fortunately, but his belongings and house have suffered tremendous losses. Variety has reported that the entire home, and surrounding estate have been burned down.
The fire began about 200 miles outside of Los Angeles. It has raged through over 1600 acres, and cost many families and communities their homes. Restrictions on travel in the area have been set up to protect citizens of the community.
Galecki released a statement to his fellow victims, saying, “”My heart goes out to all in the area who are also experiencing loss from this vicious fire. The threat of which we live with constantly, which may seem crazy to some but we do so because living in our beautiful, rural area makes it worthwhile.”

Johnny apparently loves his local neighborhood and community, and added, “It’s never the structures that create a community — it’s the people. And if the people of Santa Margarita have taught me anything it’s that, once the smoke has cleared, literally and figuratively, it’s a time to reach out and rebuild. We’ve done it before and we’ll need to do it together again. And it will make our community even closer and stronger.”

Johnny also took to Instagram to thank the brave men and women who helped try to protect his house. He said, “Thank you to the brothers and sisters of @calfire. It is the profound risk that you accept and the sacrifices you and your families make that keep up safe. Thanks also to the many of you who have reached out in support. It is far from lost on us here.”
