“Trump Will Destroy Social Security”

This is the narrative that liberal politicians and mainstream media have been pushing for almost a year (they even had a plan to do it themselves). In reality, that phrase has been nothing more than a scare tactic to turn America’s most vulnerable population, senior citizens, into political pawns.
As we have noted in the past, millions of Americans rely solely on their social security benefits to sustain them during their golden years.
However, a recent announcement by Trump’s new Treasury Secretary, Steve Mnuchin, will hopefully ease some of their concerns. Speaking about the president’s upcoming tax reforms, which will inevitably strengthen SS, Mnuchin assured recipients that:
“There will be no cuts to Social Security and Medicare”
There has been a modest increase in benefit payments in 2017. The “Social Security Reform Act”, and a host of other changes, will go a long way to improving the system. But, President Trump knows it still isn’t enough.

He also knows that the change won’t happen overnight. There are many underlying issues that have negatively impacted social security. And, they must be addressed in order to…
Improve the System

Ending the problems that have created massive waste and abuse in the social security program are a top priority for President Trump. And it will take more than a “band-aid” to do it. Fraudulent claims by illegal immigrants, high unemployment, and low wages have all threatened the solvency of the program.
Needless to say, all these problems went unnoticed by the Obama administration and social security recipients suffered for it. Thankfully, change will come, and assuring them that there will be no cuts to their benefits is a fantastic place to start.
Entirely funded through payroll taxes, building a strong social security system relies on creating a robust economy. Putting Americans back to work and providing opportunities for better pay and less taxes, is a winning combination for SS recipients.
