Calls for President Trump’s removal from the White House are growing louder by the minute these days. From Maxine Waters’ loathsome rants to professional psychologists seeking to invoke the 25th Amendment, his presidency is under assault. Now, billionaire Democrat party donor, Tom Steyer, is taking impeachment efforts one-step further.

Steyer is a uber-wealthy former hedge fund manager, who is now dedicating his life to liberal causes. He uses his vast amounts of money to fund Democratic candidates and initiatives such as climate change. However, this time Steyer is investing his dollars in a plan to oust President Trump.

Specifically, Steyer is launching a television ad campaign along with the new website “Need to Impeach.” In the ads, he rattles off a list of the president’s alleged misdeeds, including an effort to start a nuclear war. On his website, an open letter spells out what Steyer believes are reasons to impeach President Trump:

“Whether by the nature of Mr. Trump’s relationship with Vladimir Putin and Russia, his willingness to exploit the office of the Presidency for his personal gain and treat the government like a family enterprise, his conduct during Charlottesville, his decision to pull out of the Paris climate accords, or his seeming determination to take the nation to war, he has violated the Constitution, the office of the Presidency, and the trust of the public. He is a clear and present danger to the United States of America.”

Additionally, Steyer alleges the president is holding immigrant children hostage because of his DACA decision. Moreover, he seems to suggest that President Trump’s environmental policies are responsible for hurricanes and wildfires. Worse still, Steyer accuses him of killing Americans by “actively sabotaging the Affordable Care Act.”

Sadly, as ridiculous and baseless as these allegations are, his plan might just work.

The Mid-Terms

The major obstacle currently standing in the way of impeachment is the Republican-controlled Congress. Nevertheless, the 2018 mid-terms are fast approaching, and that could be a game changer. Establishment RINOS’ failure to support Trump’s agenda and the party infighting, could put Dems back in control.

If the GOP loses Congress, it is reasonable to believe we’ll lose President Trump.

So far, Steyer has written to all 50 governors and more than 2,000 city mayors demanding they take a public stance for impeachment. He penned similar letters to Democrats, calling on them to support President Trump’s removal if they win back Congress. Steyer is also investing in a seven-figure social media blitz to promote his efforts.
