3Carl’s Limited Screen Time In “Rock in the Road”

Carl Grimes didn’t have a lot of screen time on the mid-season premier of The Walking Dead. According to actor Chandler Riggs, however, that may change in the next few episodes of the series.

One issue with the series has always been that the majority of it parallels with the comic. This excites some fans and annoys others. Most fans know exactly what’s going to happen with each episode.

As such, Chandler Riggs said there is a comic aspect coming that will change Carl and Rick’s relationship.

Carl Wants To Make A Name For Himself

In Robert Kirkman’s comic, Carl Grimes eventually decides to head out on his own. The boy grows tired of being considered Rick’s son and chooses to go out and make a name for himself alone.

Carl wants to live at Hilltop where he can start over, but Rick isn’t keen on the idea. In Issue #128, however, Carl eventually wears down Rick and they head over to Hilltop so Carl can make himself a new home.

Riggs brought up the issue in a recent Q&A on Reddit…
