Two big country stars recently did an act of goodwill. RaeLynn and William Michael Morgan went to a hospital and played music for patients as partners with Musicians On Call. MOC is a nonprofit that brings musicians into hospitals to play live music for patients.
They hung out in the cardiac and orthopedic wings of Lenox Hill Hospital.
“We’re so fortunate to have two of Warner Music Nashville’s rising stars…donate their time and talent to deliver the healing power of music to patients in New York City,” said Pete Griffin, Musicians on Call President. “It has been such an honor to continue our partnership with the Opry to make moments like these just that much more special for patients, families, and caregivers.”
Morgan agrees.
“Musicians on Call is a great organization that helps a lot of people because music is definitely healing for the soul,” Morgan said.
And, of course, RaeLynn is totally on board with this organization.
“I love being a part of Musicians on Call because I understand the healing power of music. And they provide an easy way for us to get involved in making people’s days, which I love doing,” RaeLynn said. “You never know what they’re going through, so if I can brighten someone’s day by singing them a song, I love that. Musicians on Call gives as much to me by participating as it does to the patients we sing for and I appreciate that.”

RaeLynn was a contestant on The Voice, and on August 1, she put out her debut single, “Love Triangle. It’s gotten crazy good reviews.
“There’s a lyric about having a little white suitcase,” says RaeLynn. “I remember waiting on the front step for my dad, with a little white suitcase that had Minnie Mouse on it. Every part of that song is me. So many of us have lived this life. I loved writing the song with Nicolle Galyon and Jimmy Robbins and having their perspectives, too. We all come from our own love triangles, I guess you could say. I’m so proud of this song; it’s my favorite song I’ve ever written.”
Her gold-certified single, “God Made Girls,” earned a nomination for Radio Disney Music Award for Favorite Country Song. Additionally, she got her first ACM Award nomination for New Female Vocalist of the Year.
According to her Facebook bio, she is one of the highest selling female country artists (watch out Miranda and Carrie!). Her songs have sold almost 1 million total digital copies and have been streamed more than 60 million times.
Outside of music, she does other good things too. As a Type 1 diabetic, she has joined forces with Novo Nordisk, a leader in diabetes care, as a spokeswoman for the organization’s Patient Ambassador Education Program.

When William Michael Morgan was just 11 years old, he got his first guitar. By 13, he began playing shows with people four times his age. That’s how he learned old songs and the classic country sound.
Of course, his parents were always supportive of his endeavors, driving him to and from concerts, handling his MySpace account, and networking to give their kid opportunities.
“They always encouraged me,” Morgan says in his bio. “And a lot of people say it, but I wouldn’t be anywhere without them.”
Lastly, he writes his own songs and he’s pulled inspiration from some of the biggest names in country, like Keith Whitley, George Jones, Mark Chesnutt.
