Eric Luke Trump
Eric and Lara Trump, son and daughter-in-law of President Trump, are welcoming the newest addition to their family today. Eric “Luke” Trump was born this morning at 8:50 a.m. and mom and dad are overjoyed. The couple made the announcement on Twitter, sharing an adorable picture of the sleeping newborn.
Little Eric is the ninth grandbaby for President Trump. His eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., has five children with his wife, Vanessa. First daughter Ivanka has three-Arabella, Joseph, and Theodore, with her husband, Jared Kushner. This is the first child for Eric and Lara who were married at Mar-A-Lago in 2014.
Being the older brother, Donald Jr. couldn’t help but tease the new father. Congratulating Eric on Twitter, he warned of the coming revenge. “Congrats buddy,” Donald Jr. wrote. “Welcome to the club. Now that the niceties are out of the way it’s older brother revenge for that drum set to my kids.”
President Trump enjoys being a grandfather. Numerous pictures show him spending time with the children, at both Trump Tower and the White House. However, his grandchildren are also no strangers to the limelight. Earlier this year, Ivanka’s children performed a Chinese folk-song for President Xi Jinping during a visit to Palm Beach.
Nevertheless, with more grandchildren comes more concerns for their safety. Back in March, two Secret Service agents were caught taking selfies with sleeping 8-year old, Donald III. Upon waking, the young child saw the agents taking pictures and later told his mom Vanessa about the incident.
Sadly, President Trump’s grandchildren are not the only targets. 11-year-old Barron, is mocked more than any other child of a sitting president. For example, just last month, a Daily Caller reporter came under fire for suggesting that Barron should “dress like he lives in the White House.”
Incidentally, leftists were quick to try and ruin Eric and Lara’s happy moment. After the announcement, haters quickly began voicing their displeasure at the newest Trump family member. “Another orange idiot,” writes Twitter user James Frey. “You guys can share pictures in your cell #MuellerisComing”
