CNN is under fire once again for publishing a “hate map” that includes several prominent Christian organizations. The map highlights the locations of groups, which also includes white nationalists and neo-Nazis, around the U.S. Hiding under the umbrella of the Southern Poverty Law Center, the network is claiming the list is widely accepted as accurate. However, if you look closely at the SPLC, it’s easy to see just how inaccurate their claim is.

A search of the website discoverthenetworks.org, turned-up this information on the SPLC:

  • Monitors the activities of what it calls “hate groups” in the United States
  • Views the U.S. as a racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamophobic nation
  • Routinely smears conservatives as “haters”
  • Has assets exceeding $250 million

In addition, the SPLC has consistently inflated the numbers related to hate crimes in the U.S. And, the “Hatewatch” section of their website specifically targets conservatives, evidenced by the statement: “Hatewatch monitors and exposes the activities of the American radical right.”

Consequently, what they don’t bother to monitor or denounce, are the violent actions of the radical left. In fact, they go to great lengths to condone it. “The Southern Poverty Law Center recognizes that much black racism in America is, at least in part, a response to centuries of white racism.”

So, this pretty much sums up their ability to be impartial, right?

Included on the SPLC’s list of hate groups is the American Family Association, Family Research Council, and the Alliance Defending Freedom, Their “crimes” according to SPLC, include advocating for voluntary school prayer, opposition to gay marriage, preserving the rights of the unborn, and protecting religious freedoms. Taking a stand for any of these principles makes you a hate-filled racist in the opinion of the SPLC and CNN apparently.

What these groups have not done is condone or perpetrate violence. Contrary to actual hate groups, they don’t advocate for the murder of whites or police officers or vandalize historical monuments.

And yet thanks to SPLC and CNN, the lives of these Christian group members are now in danger.

Tell us again who is inciting violence and division in America?
