I’m not one to gain from someone else’s grief. I usually focus on the positive happenings around me. Yet these stories of rescue dog’s pain must be shared.
Hearts must become compassionate towards those who can’t protect themselves. Watch with caution.
Multiple puppies being starved to death. The owner was living with the dogs in unheard of conditions. So heartbreaking and yet it happens more than many realize. This story encourages us to be alert to the activity in our neighborhoods, no one is immune.
Rescue Dog’s Pain Is Emotionally Wounding
Don’t let the beginning fool you; this is a video about animal cruelty. Dogs bred to fight, puppy mills, and some racetrack dogs are causing havoc in the lives of dogs across the land. If you think this doesn’t happen anymore, think again, it’s still happening.
Rescued Just In Time
Fram was rescued just in time. Wandering the roadside in a daze. He is now a fluffy bundle of joy, a very smart puppy, obedient, cuddly, playful and friendly with other dogs and also with cats. There are great endings to some of these tragic stories, thanks to people like you. Those who love rescue dogs.
A Rescued Giant
Geographical borders don’t separate hearts of those who love rescue dogs. A tragedy turned wonderful is every rescuer’s dream. A calm, silent giant, looking at you with those huge, green eyes. Neglected with a dermatological disease that made him scratch unstoppably. “After catching him and putting him in the car everything was a piece of cake because the giant is one of the most submissive and kind animals I have ever met.” says the photographer. Arnie is healthy, neutered and happy.

Near Death Puppy Is Rescued
The gentleness used by the rescuers touched me. If everyone cared, this scene filled with a rescue dog’s pain would become obsolete. We can only pray for that day. This puppy was near death, abandoned, with little hope and yet… Penelope has a bright future!
This puppy was near death, abandoned, and left with little hope and yet… Penelope has a bright future! Refurbished Pets of Southern Michigan (RPSM) are about to make her life a miracle.
RPSM strives to find our fur kids their perfect forever homes. To do so, their application and fostering processes are very thorough. Their animals are temperament tested, vetted, and usually remain in one of their foster homes until their prison term (training) begins. While their animals are in foster homes, the foster family has time to observe the personality traits of their dog. As the animals settle into the home environment, the foster families observe how the pet reacts to other dogs, including dominant and submissive males and females; other animals such as cats and small critters; and children, and whether or not an age range is recommended for the safety of the entire family.
If your dog has gone through crisis take a look at this post.
How do you help rescue dogs? Are you a volunteer? We’d love to hear your story.
