Adele said she was going to stop touring last year in order to raise her son. Obviously, that didn’t happen. So is her new claim also a farce?

Adele admits she doesn’t like being in front of crowds — so will she really quit touring? (photo via Her Campus) Her son was reportedly (and understandably) the most important part of her life at the time.

“Adele doesn’t want to miss a moment of Angelo growing up and it’s an easy decision for her to give up touring for him,” a source Daily News.

“Angelo is the number one priority for Adele,” the source also said. “He is the most important thing in her life. She has brought him everywhere with her on tour but as he is starting school next year, he won’t be able to join her anymore.”

And this month, she’s said that she’ll probably not tour again, at least for the foreseeable future.

“Touring isn’t something I’m good at. Applause makes me feel a bit vulnerable,” Adele told her fans at a concert in Auckland, reported The New Zealand Herald.

“I don’t know if I will ever tour again. The only reason I’ve toured is you. I’m not sure if touring is my bag.”

And she has no fear of discussing her stage fright, so this announcement is exactly a huge surprise. Her tour supporting her record 25 was the first time she was onstage on tour in about five years, including an appearance at Glastonbury. Even recently, she turned down an offer to replace Beyoncé at Coachella. So we’ll see if she ends up following through with her promise to not tour again. And who knows — maybe in five years when she comes out with another album, things will have changed and she’ll be itching to perform.
