The Buck Commander TV show, which is in its eighth season, gave the Robertsons their start, leading to the biggest reality TV show ever, Duck Dynasty.

Willie Robertson, who runs the companies behind Duck Dynasty (Duck Commander and Buck Commander), is one of the stars of the show Buck Commander. His co-stars are country singers Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan as well as former major league baseball players Adam LaRoche, Tombo Martin, and Ryan Langerhans.

These men lost a fellow Buck Commander brother recently.

They’re the stars of the show, the ones in front of the camera. But there are plenty of people behind the camera who make the show happen.

People who they consider family.

Rick Carone was a longtime member of the Buck Commander family as a videographer. In 2013, he was diagnosed with Stage IV pancreatic cancer yet he kept working for Buck Commander.

On Thursday, June 29, Buck Commander shared some sad news about Carone.

“Today marks the end of a long battle for our good friend [Rick Carone],” the company posted on Instagram. “Cancer may have taken Rick’s earthly body but now he is in heaven walking with Jesus! Rick inspired so many people and will forever be remembered as a fighter. See ya’ soon brother! We love you!”

Along with this post is a video of Willie baptizing Rick. Check it out below:
