At last year’s San Diego Comic-Con, the Season 7 trailer for The Walking Dead received quite the reception and reputation. This year, however, the cast believes Season 8 will be bigger and better.

Walking Dead star Ross Marquand, who plays Aaron on the show, spoke a little about the upcoming reveal and how he thinks fans might react to the epic trailer soon to hit the stage.

Marquand nodded his head “Yes” about beating last year’s trailer.

“I think, I mean, for as cool as the Tiger is, we all love Shiva, but I think what we’ve got to show here in Season 8 is going to trump everything that we’ve ever done on the show by far,” said Marquand.

The new season will revolve around the storyline, “All Out War” from the comics, which follows the fight between Negan and Rick Grimes. With Alexandria, Hilltop, and the Kingdom united, Rick is going to find out what Negan is made of…

It’s unclear if we’ll see Shiva in the new Season 8 trailer, but The Walking Dead trailer should appear at the San Diego Comic-Con in July.

In a past interview, Marquand spoke about the ever-expanding series:

“Well I think the world keeps expanding, and truthfully this is the most expansive season yet. The Kingdom is coming into play, of course, we have the Saviors and their compound, and not to give too much away, but there are other groups that we’re going to be meeting up with as well.”

“It’s going to change them immeasurably. They’re realizing although they thought there was just one or two little outposts in the neighborhoods in the Atlanta and Virginia area, it turns out there’s several. That’s an exciting thing. All of a sudden you’re getting choices on where you’re gonna live who you’ll do business with. It’s the beginnings of a rebuilding of society.”
