Michonne Actress Lands Major Marvel Role
Not only has Andrea been killed off in The Walking Dead comic (Michonne follows Andrea’s storyline with Rick), but now actress Danai Gurira has been cast to star in the next Avengers film after The Black Panther.
Michonne actress-Danai Gurira joins the Marvel franchise as Okoye, who is a member of the Dora Milaje family’s protection in the new film, Black Panther. This will be the first Black Panther film and the third Avengers movie.
Michonne can’t be in two places at once, so she may follow Sasha’s fate.
Can Gurira Film Both At Once?
Comic Book writes:
“The Walking Dead films in Senoia, Georgia, for the most part — with some shoots taking place at Tyler Perry Studios closer to Atlanta. Avengers: Infinity War is currently coming together at Pinewood Studios, located in Fayetteville, Georgia. Pinewood Studios and Raleigh Studios (home of The Walking Dead) are a 15-minute drive from one another if the driver, at a slow Sunday cruise pace.”
“In other words: Gurira can film both Avengers: Infinity War and The Walking Dead Season 8. We have no reason to believe Gurira is exiting the AMC series in favor of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.”
Michonne’s Rightful Death (Andrea’s Death)
In Issue 165, Andrea was bitten by a walker while trying to save Eugene as a herd surrounded the two of them. Andrea led the walkers away from the Safe Zone but it essentially cost her, and Rick, everything.
Andrea told Rick that she was bitten when she got back to Alexandria. In Issue 167, the characters gathered for a live funeral where they could rightfully say goodbye to Andrea, who had been around since nearly the beginning.
This likely hit Rick and Carl the hardest since Andrea had taken over as the role of wife and mother for the duo.
Do you think Michonne will be the next major death on The Walking Dead?
