Adam West On The Big Bang Theory
Adam West, who recently passed away, was certainly one of the most beloved actors to ever play a superhero on the small screen. In the 1960s, West played Batman and the rest is history.
Many of the actors who worked with Adam West, both on The Big Bang Theory and Family Guy, have their own heart-felt stories to tell about the actor. Bill Prady, the executive producer on The Big Bang Theory, told a recent story at Comic Con.
Prady spoke about the 200th episode of The Big Bang Theory.
Big Bang Theory EP Talks Adam West
“I have a really good Adam West story. So he was on our 200th episode and after our table read, he called me over. He had some questions about the script and he had a line in the script where he told Leonard and Koothrappali, ‘Don’t ring my doorbell or my poodles will go crazy.”
“Adam said to me, ‘Do you think I could have a tougher dog, like a Rottweiler?’ And I said, ‘Well, Mr. West, you could, but I don’t think it’s as funny.’ And he said, ‘Well, I have poodles in real life, so I guess it’s fine…”
Adam West Plays Adam West
“All things considered, Adam West’s guest shot on The Big Bang Theory has to go down as one of his funniest TV appearances in recent years. He was never one to hold back when it came to fictionalized versions of himself, and his ranking of the Batmen in “The Celebration Experimentation” was pretty hilarious.”
“Naturally, he ranked himself first, but there were a couple of surprises. Christian Bale’s version of Batman was second to last for West, only coming in ahead of George Clooney. Lego Batman managed to even outrank Bale and Clooney. Who would have guessed?”
