Big Bang Celebrates 10-Year Anniversary
After five years at Comic Con and ten years of CBS, the cast of The Big Bang Theory has gathered once again to discuss behind-the-scenes stories, fun moments on the show, and even last year’s cliffhanger at SDCC.
Season 10 ended with Sheldon (Jim Parsons) proposing to Amy Farrah Fowler (Mayim Bialik), but it wasn’t clear if she said yes or no. Stars Johnny Galecki, Kaley Cuoco, Kunal Nayyar, and Kevin Sussman spoke about the cliffhanger.
Parsons and Bialik were not able to attend the big event.
Big Bang Casts Talks Cliffhanger
“Bialik and Parsons were definitely there in spirit as the cast talked about the memorable and emotional proposal which had been built up since Bialik joined the cast in 2010. Cuoco says that the entire cast and crew were huddled around the camera to witness Sheldon and Amy’s big moment and admitted that she started crying. Nayyar chimed in, “We were all crying!”
“I came as close to crying as is possible for me,” joked Galecki. Specific details about what happens after the proposal were kept under wraps for the majority of the panel as the cast and crew talked about their favorite guest stars and memorable scenes from its 10-season run. All culminated in a rousing sing-along of Sheldon’s favorite childhood song “Soft Kitty.”
CBS Prepares TBBT, Young Sheldon
Earlier this year, CBS and Warner Brothers signed a two-year renewal for The Big Bang Theory, which will include Seasons 11 and 12. There’s also going to be a spinoff series, called Young Sheldon.
Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady created The Big Bang Theory, which has won four Emmy Awards for Sheldon actor, Jim Parsons. Prady, Lorre, and Steve Molaro are all executive producers on the show.
Season 11 will return this September.
