Frank Miller’s Sin City Set For Silver Screen

Sin City | Photo Credit Frank Miller The first Sin City movie from Robert Rodriguez was truly spectacular, but the sequel somewhat puttered out. Frank Miller’s comic series may get a new life as there’s talk of a television reboot.

The Weinstein Company and Dimension Films are considering a television reboot closer to the comic book. The pilot will be written by Glen Mazzara, who was the showrunner for The Walking Dead during the second and third season.

Currently, there’s no new artwork attached to the project.

Sin City’s Neo Noir Gains New Life From Glenn Mazzara

TV Guide reports:

Sin City, Frank Miller’s landmark comic series that spawned two movie adaptations directed by Robert Rodriguez and Miller, is being turned into a TV series.”

“Miller started the neo-noir comic in 1991. The last installment, Hell and Back, finished in 2000. The first Sin City movie came out in 2005 and was followed by a sequel, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, in 2014.”

Glenn Mazzara began his career in the late 1990s.

Former Walking Dead Showrunner Visits Sin City

As a writer, Mazzara joined Nash Bridges as an episode writer on six episodes. He’s since worked on other series such as The Shield, Crash, Hawthorne, Criminal Minds, and The Walking Dead, where he also wrote eight episodes.

In addition to his new series, Damien, the writer is also attached to Hancock 2 as the screenwriter and Sin City the televised series. The movie version of Sin City was a who’s who of Hollywood, but currently, no actors are attached to the series.

The 2005 film starred Jessica Alba, Rosario Dawson, Benicio Del Toro, Michael Clarke Duncan, Josh Hartnet, Michael Madsen, Brittany Murphy, Clive Owen, Bruce Willis and Elijah Wood.

The film came from Robert Rodriguez, Frank Miller, and even Quentin Tarantino, who was listed as a special guest director.
