The cast headed back to the set of Big Bang Theory on Wednesday and began to settle back in for filming of Season 11. Here’s everything we know about the premiere, set to air in September.
The Big Bang Theory Season 11 Premiere
The Big Bang Theory Season 11 Premiere is set to air on September 25th, followed by an exclusive and extensive sneak peek of Young Sheldon– the spin-off series following the life of Sheldon Cooper in his childhood.
Many of the cast members celebrated coming back to filming with Instagram posts. Kaley Cuoco wrote, “We’re Baaaaaccccckkk!” and held up her bright pink script to commemorate the occasion.
Mayim Bialik said in a previous Youtube Video that’s she’s very excited to come back to The Big Bang set. Mayim spent the last 30 days on vocal rest, so we’re sure she’s relieved to be back to talking just in time for filming. She explained, “A lot of our cast members were traveling and away this summer so we didn’t get to see each other and it’s nice. It feels like coming back together after a summer break, which is exactly what it is.” Mayim also stated the feeling is similar to going back to school in the fall, and that she had planned out her first-day outfit in advance.
Kunal Nayyar Spoilers
Kunal Nayyar also posted his pink script, revealing quite a bit more than Kaley Cuoco. Based on Kunal’s paper we know that Chuck Lorre wrote the season 11 premiere episode, along with Eric Kaplan and Jeremy Howe. Eric Kaplan has written 121 episodes of Big Bang Theory, and Howe has written 53. With these three comedy gods at the helm, it’s sure to be a great episode.
One thing Kunal didn’t spoil? The title of the episode. Just like Kaley, Kunal strategically placed an object (in his case a pen) in front of the title. We have a hunch the name will give away something serious about The Big Bang Theory season 11 premiere- perhaps even whether or not Amy will say yes. What do you think?
