The Big Bang Theory fans have been eagerly waiting for news on a Big Bang Theory renewal. It looks like good news is here. The main three actors, Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuoco and Johnny Galecki have offered to take a pay cut in order to renew the show two more seasons. Excitement has ensued all over the TBBT fandom world.

Gracious Co-Stars

Kaley Cuoco, Jim Parsons, and Johnny Galecki have each famously been making one million dollars per episode. Talks about a two-season renewal for the show began in 2016. Now it appears the only thing stopping that is Mayim Bialik and Melissa Rauch’s pay negotiations.

The female co-stars entered the show in the third season, and have become an integral part of the cast. Both Bialik and Rauch have been paid A LOT less than their costars. They each make somewhere around $200,000 an episode. While that’s still a great amount of money, it’s only 20% of what Cuoco Parsons and Galecki make. We can understand why they would want to ask for more.

This cast is well known for their comradery. Things work well behind the scenes, and that in turn makes things work well in front of the camera. Cuoco Parsons and Galecki, along with Simon Helberg and Kunal Nayyar have graciously offered to accept a pay cut in order to raise the salaries of Mayim and Melissa.

How Much Money?

Variety has reported that each of the five actors has agreed to take a $100,000 pay cut, leaving $500,000 to be split between the two actresses. That means they would each be making close to $450,000 an episode–causing their pay would more than double. Hopefully, it is enough to get a season renewal.

So is this pay increase for the women enough to get a season 11 and 12 renewal?

Cost Of Production

Experts have guessed that each episode costs about 6-7 million dollars to produce. 5 million of that goes towards the cast salaries.

Kaley Cuoco certainly seems dedicated to the cause. She told Daily Mail, “I think it’s a given that we want to be here. That’s the overall consensus. It might be a sticky road, but if I have anything to do with it, we’d be here for much longer. That’s the goal.”

Kunal Nayyar echoed her sentiments, “All of us on the show realize how lucky we are on the show and we treasure it. We’re not sure if there will be another show like this, we know it is special.”

Hopefully, there will be a The Big Bang Theory renewal to celebrate soon. It looks like we can bet on two more seasons.
